Carpentry and joinery is a precision craft. Even if the joiner-cabinet maker must have a perfect knowledge of the characteristics of classic wood species, he must also know how to work with other materials such as glass, metals, etc. Since the 18th century, cabinetmakers have been designing, planing, assembling, sanding and finishing their creations or restoring antique furniture. Very often the cabinetmaker is above all a wood enthusiast.
When our cabinetmaker clients come to Industrie du bois de Neuvy, we take the time to choose the oak boules that will meet their expectations. We are also able to advise our clients on the thicknesses, lengths, qualities and drying they may require for their projects. We sell our reconstituted logs, and we also source our products from the surrounding forests known for the colour and fine grain of their wood. This allows our customers to manufacture furniture in solid colours. Our blocks are generally 4.50 meters long or more, which allows us to optimize our customers’ yields. Finally, we have a large stock of oak boules in stock, allowing us to offer our customers oak boules of all thicknesses, dry or kiln-dried throughout the year.
